Timmy: Hey! Yeah, so the whole spiritual quest hasn't been goin' too well so far, but I'm hopin' it's gonna pick up soon... Old Pete led me to this weird church yesterday, but we got thrown out on account of his unique hygiene arrangements, and plus it turned out it wasn't actually a church.
Timmy: More of, I don't know, kind of a club. A club where they serve lots of chicken wings and there's lotsa ladies dancing around wearin' real funny costumes. Coulda sworn it was a church, cause of all the neon lights and whatnot...
Old Pete: Urf. Bug crawled down my ear in the night.
Timmy: So anyway, I'm startin' to think maybe Old Pete isn't the most spiritually useful guy to have hangin' around me... then again, he is real good at findin' discarded food, so I've been savin' a lot of money on meals.
Old Pete: Trashburger's just as good as a new one.
Timmy: Anywho, we'd better get to the item news! It's kinda slim pickin's in the EI department today, but they're makin' for the small quantity with some real high quality: the Seracila Pendant is gettin' a great update, with a bunch of totally new styles like Gaia's never seen before. I love it! What do you think, Pete?
Old Pete: That dog told me to agree with what you say or the secret dog government gonna put me in a camp, then I'm gonna pherghafrep...
Timmy: You know, Pete, sometimes I think you're crazy-- but once in a while, like right now for example, you start makin' a whole lotta sense. We gotta finish up the show now by tellin' all the folks at home to stop by and vote in our poll, but you really gotta tell me more about this secret dog government!
Old Pete: Dog government. Yup.
Timmy: Fascinating... please go on!
[list] Old Pete: That's pretty much all of it. *Snrrrrk* |

Just...stop opening your mouth, please.
My Calculus teacher is pretty cool, and if you say something stupid in his class, he'll let you know. There are only eight people in class, and you would think it wouldn't be very interesting, but it is. Today, he was telling us about Frank Lloyd Wright, a famous architect. One girl didn't know who he was (and I didn't either) so she asked him. Before he could respond, another girl, who is kind of stupid, said, "Don't you know, he's the flying brothers." And she made little 'wing' motions with her hands. I burst out laughing at her, and so did the teacher. Eventually, he calmed down enough to inform her that, no, he wasn't one of the Wright brothers. Their names are Orville and Weber. I've known that since fifth or sixth grade. And let's not comment on the grammar fail of 'he' also being 'brothers'. Sitting in my infectious organisms class - it's a 400-level class and can be taken for graduate credit as well, so it's not easy stuff. We're talking about herd immunity and the graphs that go along with it. My professor mentions that when you get sick with an acute disease like the flu, one of two things happens - you A) get better and have immunity or B) you die. He also mentions that the incidence tapers off as more people recover. A girl in class raises her hand and asks "But, what about the dead people - are they immune?" The prof looks at her silently for a moment - "No?" She asks. Then it clicks. "OH! Ohhhh... He he, never mind!" I headdesked. |

Lollercoaster! Everyone Buckle Up And Enjoy The Ride!
My brother-in-law is a supposed expert on cars. Always offering to save me a couple of bucks. He did a brake job on my car, but didn't even check the bearings, figuring they were so big, "I don't see how they could ever fail." Well, they did, and I had to replace the front axle. My brother-in-law has a compact truck that was starting to give him some problems. So, he negotiated a trade with a guy for a car. Straight trade, no cash. All I heard from family was how my brother-in-law is a shrewd negotiator and really pulled one over on the guy. Today, the car won't start. And my brother-in-law looked under the hood for the first time. How do I know he hadn't looked there before? There was a lawn mower battery wired in instead of a regular car battery. I nearly passed out from laughing and am now a bit hoarse. But it was worth it. |

People are stupid!
I'm listening to a quiz show on the radio. The question is "What far-eastern city has the most Rolls Royces per capita?" People answered the following: -- Germany -- Saudi Arabia -- Iran -- China |

Cash Shop Update: New Overseer & Sentinel Items!
http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55883069#1868993983
Hiya, folks! Things have been awfully busy lately, what with the whole battle between good and evil going on. Thankfully, I was able to break away from all this epic clashin' just long enough to stock some new goodies. Take a look!
O Righteous One brings you the full wardrobe of the Overseer in his original form, before his unfortunate (but glorious) transformation into a clam. You can also have the majestic Overseer of Old stand next to you, silently judging your every move.
Look positively demonic with Her Infernal Majesty, featuring the Sentinel's entire wardrobe. It also has a companion pose, if you're into having scary devil ladies stand next to you.
My Little Overseer takes your favorite benevolent clam god and turns him into an adorable plushie to hold and gently squeeze like a small kitten or a ripe melon.
Allegiance Bundle: get all of the above plus the bonus Autumn Wings in one sweet, discount package.
If you'd like to grab any of these items, just come see me in the Cash Shop!
Need some Gaia Cash? Stock up online or grab a Cash card from your local Target, Wal-Mart or 711. Outside the US? Get instant Cash through your mobile phone! |

Otakon 2009 Girlycard Cosplay photos Uh... hey! I just now found this community. I'm a little slow on the uptake, perhaps, but I only really seriously started getting into Hellsing last winter. Ok... maybe that marks me as very slow on the uptake. I saw the original TV series years ago, wasn't hooked, and only recently discovered the joy and wonder that is the OVAs and the manga... *drools* Anyways, I thought that in honor of me finally finding this community... I'd post a couple pictures of my Otakon Girlycard cosplay. I have four uploaded right now on my DeviantArt page... but if people are interested in me hunting down more Otakon Hellsing cosplay pics (of people other than me)... I'll root through my photos and see what I can come up with! Anyways, in these pictures, I'm the Girlycard! Credit for making the long coat goes to my talented sister. She offered to make me a cosplay piece for a college graduation gift.
Girlycard and Alucard: My brother is the Alucard pictured. What you can't tell in the picture is that the hellhound hand piece's mouth opens up to gape frighteningly wide!
Girlycard vs Walter: Looks like Girlycard is losing! There were a lot of Walters at Otakon, come to think of it...
Girlycard and Walter: See? A different Walter! It was truly a great con to be a Girlycard.
Jan Valentine's bad day: There is a decent explanation in my comments for the pic there, and I'm too lazy to summarize.. >>
Photo gallery with Integra and Girlycard: This was taken at Anime Mid-Atalantic... not Otakon like the name of the gallery would suggest. My talented sister is Integra and she made the overcoat and the suit jacket she's wearing. My other friend is the Speed Racer. Heh heh... not Hellsing... but... er.. still good cosplay!
And, that's all I have readily available. But like I said, if people are interested in seeing more cosplay pics, I'll see what I can dig off memory cards and such! I need to organize my photos anyways... |

For hellsing fans, ''Dracula, the undead'' By Dacre stoker and Ian Holt
I just finished reading Dracula, The undead, ( the sequel to the original Classic, and we all know, Kohta Hirano based most of hellsing on ''DRACULA'' By bram stoker, well, this sequel have so much hellsing/kind references that it's just amazing, and mostly on the last chapters of the manga, and ''dracula's personality and most the well known vampire's abilities, i hate spoilers so go ahead and try to get your hands on this book, just as i did with the historian, Im sure Hellsing's fans will loved it as much as i did. not sure if this is a legal posting... :)
Not sure if this is a legal posting - but I've been looking to buy a Hellsing patch for FOREVER (the kind the soldiers wear - the "we are on a mission from GOD" coat of arms), and since I wasn't able to find any ANYWHERE, I finally broke down and had a lot of 100 made at a custom patch making place. If any other Hellsing lovers out there are interested, you can message me on there, or I have a temp listing up on ebay too... Happy Ghoul Hunting, Freaks! :) |
